Marginal Risk for strong to severe storms this afternoon and early morning Saturday

There is a Marginal Risk for isolated strong to severe storms this afternoon. Hi-res models show the potential for isolated storms developing over Central Kentucky by this evening and pushing northeast. Damaging winds and some hail are the primary threats.

There is potential for significant weather on Sunday and all modes of severe weather appear possible at this time. There is also potential for multiple rounds of strong to severe storms, will have to watch and see how this evolves as multiple rounds of showers and storms will limit instability for storms later in the day. Stay weather aware if you have outdoor plans this Holiday Weekend, remember when thunder roars, go indoors. If you hear thunder, you are certainly close enough to be stuck by lightning. Severe storms can produce lightning strikes well ahead of the storm.
