Accumulating snowfall expected this evening into tonight.

* WHAT...Light snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches, with locally up to 3 inches possible.


* WHERE...Southern Indiana and the northern half of central Kentucky.


* WHEN...From 4 PM EST /3 PM CST/ this afternoon to 7 AM EST /6 AM CST/ Sunday.


* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions developing after sunset this evening and continuing into Sunday morning.


* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Temperatures will drop below freezing fairly quickly this evening, with temperatures continuing to fall into the 20s early Sunday morning. Minor snow accumulation and falling temperatures are likely to result in hazardous road conditions.

snow showers this evening and tonight

Minor accumulating snow is expected starting this evening and lasting into the overnight hours. Accumulating snow of 1-3 inches is possible along and east of I-75. For Central Kentucky, a dusting to less than a half an inch is expected. Gusty winds are also expected, 14 to 17 mph winds with gusts up to 26 is likely this afternoon and evening. Lows expected to be near 31 degrees over Central Kentucky with a high around 40°.
