Severe Weather Outbreak Today & Tomorrow

 A Moderate Risk for severe weather with all modes likely has been issued for portions of Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi. Tornadoes within this outlined area stand the greatest chance for tornadoes, some of which could be strong, large hail, and damaging winds 60-100 mph.





A Wind Advisory is also in effect

Wind Advisory

* WHAT...South winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts of 45 to 50 mph expected.

* WHERE...Portions of south central Indiana and east central, north central, northwest, and south central Kentucky.

* WHEN...From 5 PM EDT /4 PM CDT/ this afternoon to 8 PM EDT /7 PM

CDT/ Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

Secure outdoor objects.

On Saturday the Moderate Risk focus over portions of Dixie Alley. Once more all modes of severe weather is probable.


There is a Slight Risk for flooding due to heavy rain accompanied by severe storms on Saturday.
